Modern Marvels: Selected Sri Lanka’s Large Reservoirs Monograph Launched

The official launch of the book Modern Marvels: Selected Sri Lanka’s Large Reservoirs authored by Eng. Badra Kamaladasa was held on 12th January 2026, drawing an audience of more than 120 participants.
The publication presents an in-depth exploration of Sri Lanka’s major reservoir projects, highlighting their engineering significance, historical evolution, design features, and contribution to national development. Through detailed technical insights and practical perspectives, the book showcases the remarkable achievements of Sri Lankan engineers in the planning, construction, and management of large-scale water resources infrastructure.
The reviews were delivered by Prof. Missaka Hettiarachchi and Eng. Janaki Migasthanna, who commended the author’s comprehensive research, technical clarity, and valuable documentation of the country’s reservoir systems.
